I stopped by Aesop's newest store last night, located in the heart of London's Soho. Housed in what used to be a take-away chicken bar (bleurgh) the shop has been transformed into an Aesop lover's paradise; rows and rows of its instantly recognisable apothecary-style bottles adorn otherwise sparse walls while a huge disused bath tub acts as a very stylish backdrop on the scrubbed wooden floors. Mirroring its location, the store feels very cool - the minimal, urban aesthetic chimes perfectly with the Australian brand's ethos of simple but sophisticated skincare that's based on a blend of high performance ingredients. New launches that have us excited include the Pettigrain Body Gel and Blemish Gel which are out later this year but a perennial favourite of several ELLE staffers has to be Aesop Animal - the most stylish dog shampoo we've ever seen...
