Find out how we're getting on with our five-day detox programmes...

Soulmatefood: Amy Lawrenson, Beauty Writer
Two days worth of juices, plus instructions, were dropped off in the dead of night and left in a relatively safe place (as I had instructed) outside my flat. As far as delivery, Soulmatefood have got this one sussed. Like all-year-round Santas, the drivers are delivering these juices to hoards of people all around the country while they sleep. My instructions were simple, drink the six juices - in order from 1-6 (they're labelled) from the moment I awake, with roughly two hour intervals between. The only other thing allowed to pass my lips for five whole days is water. So far, I've found it surprisingly easy, every juice tastes great, I haven't had any caffeine withdrawal headaches or unbearable hunger pangs. All I will say is that come day two I kind of miss chewing and while detoxing may be healthy - my instruction leaflet says it 'Rids the body of toxins, aids digestion and boosts mental and physical efficiency' - it's definitely not sociable.
If you want to sign-up to the 5-day Soulmate Food plan as well, the team are offering you a 50% discount, so a five-day supply will cost you £100 instead of £200. All you have to do is visit soulmatefood.com and use the voucher code "ELLE50" at the checkout. They deliver to mainland UK, plus Northern Ireland, so no excuses.

Raw Fairies: Emily Cronin, News Editor
The first day of my Mini B Cleanse felt a bit like a raw, vegan version of Christmas morning: which juice blends would I find in my delivery bag? What would be for breakfast? And most important, would I be able to stick with it through five meat, dairy, wheat, sugar and caffeine-free days? The answer? Lots of colours. From the Forest Fruit Smoothie to the Green Juice to lunch, a box of ‘vegetable noodles’ (shredded curls of old friends carrot, courgette, et al) with tahini dressing, I’ve never had as vibrantly hued a day in food. Surprisingly given my anxiety about not having enough to eat, I couldn’t finish said ‘noodles’. I was tired of chewing, felt full—and it was time for my mid-afternoon carrot, orange and ginger juice (which was also substantial).
Raw food is so... wholesome. I tapered off of my daily lattes last week, so I haven’t experienced caffeine withdrawal or any other negative symptoms. Instead, I’m enjoying the novelty of upgrading my five-a-day to about 50. Rather than feeling guilty over a spur-of-the-moment pain au chocolat, I’m the envy of the herbivore kingdom.
The toughest test of the detox came yesterday evening. As fellow book clubbers supped on homemade pasta , I nibbled ‘Cashew Cottage Cheese on Flax Sunflower Seed Cracker plus Greens, Nori and Sprouts with Balsamic Dressing.’ And do you know what? It was delicious.
