The New Smokey Eye

Yesterday I popped to Bourjois HQ for a sneak peek of its Winter Trend Black & Light launching February. There I saw Cassie Lomas, UK Spokesperson and Make-up Artist for Bourjois, who showed me how to create a modern eye that is part graphic, part smokey and perfect for the party season.



To get the look:

First use a kohl liner to draw along the lash line, out and up over the lid. Top tip: keep your eyes open when drawing the line at the top to ensure you place it above the crease so your eyelid won't smudge it as you blink.

Next, load a small brush with black eyeshadow and use it to soften the line.

Finally take a white, shimmery shadow and blend it across the centre of the eye lid in the space and over the black line to soften it further.
