It wasn't so much the look that had everyone talking backstage at Givenchy, as much as the models that were cast to walk in it; Mariacarla (naturally) put in an appearance as did Frankie Rayder and Gisele, who looked more beautiful than ever as she showed off pics of her son to Pat McGrath. So what of the make-up and hair, how best to showcase such a line-up of old school beauty? Well, simply was the answer. While Luigi (for John Frieda) opted for 'surfer goth' hair - sexy, fierce tousled waves artfully messed up and tucked behind ears to show off huge, sculptural earrings, Pat leant on a low-key trick using 4 well-placed sequins to reflect light. With skin kept glowing but bare, 2 silver or gold sequins were glued above and below lash lines to add texture and bring faces to life. A little touch of metal to turn 'super goth' into 'space goth'.
