At House of Holland Sophy Robson and her team gave models ombre nails in custom mixed shades of peach and purple to match the colours in the collection. The effect looks airbrushed, but it was actually created using a humble make-up sponge. Here's how to get the look:
First, paint your nails with a clear base coat and leave to dry.
Next, paint your chosen shade over the whole nail (I used Rimmel Lycra Pro in Ultra Violet).
Straight away while the polish is wet take your make-up brush and use it to remove the polish from the tip up to the middle of your nail bed, leaving the colour at the cuticle down.
Again, while the polish is still wet, use a clear top coat (like Orly Magnifique French Manicure Topcoat) to drag the polish from the cuticle down the nail to create the blurred, ombre effect.
Another genius nail look from Sophy, we salute you (with our ombre nails)!
