The actress revealed on the Jay Leno show that she 'burst in to tears' when her friend accidentally cut her hair short.

'There was a little misunderstanding. I said I just wanted a little bit cut off and it went from here to here, 'she told the talk show host. 'It was one of those moments where I just couldn’t … I just burst into tears.'

It's not the first time Cameron has gone for the chop, her short hair was made famous in the 1998 film There's Something About Mary. But this time around Cameron confessed, 'I felt so vulnerable. For a woman to all of a sudden have no hair...Oh my God!'

The mishap occurred back in December, the night before she was heading off on a Christmas holiday with family. 'It was 10 o'clock at night and we were running around just trying to get in the haircut,' she said.

The drastic crop has started to grow out and Cameron is looking more comfortable with the hairstyle these days, and if the Jay Leno show is anything to go by she can laugh about it now, but at the time it was a very different story, 'I yelled at her, I screamed at her' admitted Cameron, 'she felt really bad. I felt really bad. She started crying. I started crying.'
