It's super long, shiny and lustrous so it's no surprise that Pantene have snapped up the brunette to be the latest face of the brand. The star will be following in the footsteps (or should that be follicles?) of big names like Naomi Watts and Eva Mendes. However, unlike Pantene's other current spokesperson Liv Tyler, who exudes a grown-up glamour, Zooey describes herself as 'a real girly girl... [I] love doing my hair and experimenting with different styles.'
In typical Zooey fashion, the star said of her latest gig, 'I am so excited to be a part of the Pantene family. I'm really into hair! So, I just like hair, so... that sounded weird.' Adding, 'Being a "Pantene girl" has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid.'
Kevin Crociata, Marketing Director of North American Hair Care at Procter & Gamble called Zooey a 'breath of fresh air for the brand, [she] perfectly fits the fun side of Pantene'.
He also said, 'her signature long, healthy looking hair is right on target for the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Collection, a line designed to give breakage protection to help women achieve long, strong hair.'
As well as being the face of the collection, she's also the face of the Beautiful Lengths Campaign, a program that encourages women to cut and donate their hair to turn into wigs for cancer patients.
'Pantene is helping to provide confidence and beautiful real-hair wigs to women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment; you can't put a price on that.'
Aside from being an actress (she's starred in films like (500) Days of Summer and Elf) and having experience in the beauty world being a face of Rimmel London, she is also co-founder and contributor to the lifestyle blog Hello Giggles, which she says is 'ultimate entertainment destination for smart, independent and creative females'.
