Its no secret that Chanels firm followers are effortlessly cool. So much so, that when it comes to beauty they take a less-is-more approach, even when they are at one of the glitziest shows on the haute couture calendar.
The look for the couture crowd was a uniform of flawless skin, shimmering highlights on the cheekbones, smudged brown kohl liner and a slick of mascara (or in some cases just the mascara), finished with a sweep of balm on the lips. Apparently, blusher isnt big with the couture crowd! So, who is part of Karls army? Alexa Chung, Diane Kruger, Caroline Sieber and Julia Restoin-Roifeld, of course.
Hair was glossy and natural but really, really cool. Think Chelsea Hair that has been partied in and then slept on.
Poppy Delevigne was the only exception, looking like she had made the most effort. She worked the uniform look, but added a pop of red lipstick. Perfectly positioned waves in her hair gave her style more party-polish too. Somehow though she still looked effortless, must have been the trilby or the rest of her bare-faced make-up.
Who wants to be in Karls army? Because I sure do.
