I was in Rome recently and it was there I discovered KIKO Make Up. The store, on Rome's equivalent of Oxford Street (Via del Corso), was stocked with so many enticing products I didn't know where to start, and since the boy was waiting outside I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to peruse.

It sort of reminded me of Sephora for two reasons - it was decked out in a similar fashion and frustratingly KIKO isn't available over here either! If you're heading to Italy this summer there are stores across the country and it is well worth factoring a visit into your itinerary.

The brand was founded in 1997 and offers professional make-up and skincare products. The Coral Bay Sun Essentials 2011 range caught my eye - the Shimmering Body Oil SPF 10, €11.90, would look amazing layered over a tan, while the Stylo Sunproof lipsticks SPF 15, €7.50, are perfect for summer. I was also taken aback by the vast number of eye shadow and lipstick shades on display; I was like a kid in a candy store.

Fingers crossed KIKO will pop-up here soon, or at least expand its shipping.
