I met hair stylist Adam Reed yesterday to talk Klorane (there is more to the brand than just dry shampoo, you know). Adam is the co-owner of Percy & Reed salon, session stylist (most recently for Henry Holland’s a/w ’11 show) and the ‘mane’ man for Diane Kruger and the X Factor – he’s just signed up for the next series. Here are three of his best hair tips...

To avoid a powdery build-up when using dry shampoo, Adam advises spraying Klorane Dry Shampoo, £7.50, onto your brush and then sweep it through the greasy areas of your hair - nape of the neck and around the ears and temples tend to get the most oily as they are warmer.

If you want to give the high-shine, sleek look that was all over the s/s '11 catwalks a try use a little of the Oat Milk Conditioner, £8, on the hair as you would a serum to give that sleek shine without the hair going crispy. Click here for ELLE’s favourite catwalk looks…

When backcombing, spray a little dry shampoo onto the comb before, it helps make the hair dense so it holds more effectively
