I have just been to Guinot’s flagship store on Albemarle Street to test their, now famous, Hydradermie" facial (from £51). Originally developed by Rene Guinot himself in 1963, it has recently had a facelift of its own. It now uses galvanic rollers charged with positive and negative ions (previously it only used positive ions meaning it would only work with half of their products) – they allow plant-based products, that are applied to the skin, to work all the way down to the sebaceous glands (the glands that produce sebum) . By aiding the ingredients to penetrate further into the skin you benefit from deeper cleansing of toxins and impurities. After an hour in the spa my skin is glowing and feels renewed. I think this may become a new regular haunt of mine.
