This morning I met with one of the founders of Mama Mio, Tanya Kazeminy MacKay, to talk skin care. The brand is expanding with the launch of 5 high protein products for the face. Packed with actives at high percentages (think peptides, probiotics and hyaluronic acid, to name a few) that work at two levels in the skin - the upper layer, boosting keratin (the key structural protein in our skin) to keep our complexion smooth, soft and protected, as well as the deeper layers to stimulate the fibroblasts that produce collagen and elastin (the skin's building blocks that keep it plump and full of elasticity).

Tanya's hero product is the Mighty Moisture, £37.50, which quadruples as a day cream, night cream, serum and primer in one (you can even mix it with your liquid foundation to create a tinted moisturiser). It's super lightweight so the ingredients can penetrate down to the deepest layers, but it's also hydrating; Tanya explains we don't need heavy moisturisers at any age.

Also, just like the body bootcamp kits, each product comes with two 'Face Fitness' exercises. The exercises target our facial muscles ; the exercises tighten the muscles, which in turn lifts the skin. 'Name one muscle in your face' Tanya asks me. I can't, but I can name loads in my body. Spending hours in the gym working our bodies is the norm, but Mama Mio wants to get us spending just minutes working out, and changing the shape of, our faces. I'm going to try the Chin Ups (which come in the Nexercise Kit, £29.50) to combat my slowly sagging chin - I'll report back on the results.
