For aw '11 London fashion Week has spoken and there is a nail trend to suit every type of woman.

For those who are sporty or low maintenance take inspiration from Jaeger and Christopher Kane where nails were buffed to a high shine and nourished with oils. Sophy Robson used Leighton Denny's Quatro Buffer at Kane, while Marian Newman used CND Solar Oil on nails at Jaeger.

If a neat painted manicure is more appealing, look to Erdem and Temperley where the nails were painted a flattering peachy nude. Jenny Longworth used Revlon's Scented Nail Enamel in Peach Smoothie at Temperley and Nail Girls Beige #3 at Erdem. At Clements Ribeiro the OPI team used four polish shades to match the models' outfits. While at Giles Sophy created a rounded, matte red nail - tres chic.

At the other end of the nail spectrum, was nail art. The trend isn't going anywhere but it is definitely less of a beauty focus for aw 11. At PPQ Trish Lomax painted nails with red glitter, while Sophy Robson adorned nails at House of Holland with orange, navy or tiger print tips. Animal print was also a big trend at Unique, where Sophy continued the Dalmation theme onto nails with Topshop polish in black and white.
