Every season the MAC artists use a mix of main line and Pro products to create the looks backstage. The Pro products are designed for make-up artists to use on the catwalk, at shoots, on film and stage. But, every season there are a handful of Pro products us journalists fall in love with. This season clear Mixing Medium (with a shiny finish) has been used on skin at , , Nicole Farhi and to create in the words of Hannah Murray at Jaeger -' juicy skin'. The product is a gloss but is less sticky than the lip variety making it ideal for skin.

Another hit was Peachstock lipstick used by Terry Barber at Clements Ribeiro, it's a Pro lipstick that moonlighted in the mainline as part of the Liberty collection - it's a peachy nude which Terry described to me as having 'a yellow tone, which stops it looking too grey-beige and 60s'. Although usually a summer shade, this will be a popular hue for nails, lips and cheeks come aw 11 - snap it up now.
