When it comes to trends what Marc Jacobs' show 'says' is generally taken as gospel. Polka dots will be big news for a/w 11 (although Team ELLE are already digging out our spotty tights from a/w 09). At Louise Gray, make-up artist James O'Reilly found an ingenious way of incorporating polka dots into the make-up. He was inspired by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama to adorn models faces in unusual areas - forehead, neck and temples - with multi-coloured polka dots using MAC's Chroma Graphic Pencils. I'll be wearing this in a more wearable way come autumn - on the eyelids.
