The Lash Lift

Last week I popped along to The Powder Lounge in Topshop for a Lash Lift. I had no idea what to expect, but it's chnaged my lashes for the better.

First, my lower lashes were taped down, followed by my upper lashes which meant my eyes were taped shut (eek!). The therapist then applied a strong smelling formula to my lashes to curl them, which was essentially a perm .for my lashes. I was left for 20 minutes while the formula set to work. If I had known I probably would have popped my iPod in beforehand as I was a little bored and a tad uncomfortable. After 20 minutes the tape was painlessly removed and I was told not to wear mascara or cleanse my eyes for 24 hours.

Now my lashes are super curly, which means even without mascara they look longer and more luscious. I don't need to use eyelash curlers and I don't have the maintenance involved with lash extensions. The chemicals were pretty strong but my lashes seem happy and don't look like they're ready to jump ship onto my cheeks. And while it wasn't the most comfortable 20 minutes of my life, the effects last 2 months - well worth it
