Last night I caught the tail end of the BBC Documentary 10 Things You Need to Know About Losing Weight. It was riveting stuff, if you’re interested in that kind of thing and who isn’t? It’s January after all. The tips I saw seemed sensible and some quite surprising, apparently you can lose almost two stone in a year by being more active (and without setting foot in a gym!). Soup for lunch can stop you snacking and a diet rich in low-fat dairy can help you lose more fat, than a no-fat diet; good news for cheese lovers like me.

Watch it on iPlayer, it’s available until next Thursday. I’ll be viewing it and taking notes.
