The festive season is here and, if you're lucky, you'll be free from the office with thoughts firmly focused on Christmas and New Year parties. This season there have been some great gold nail polishes that have caught the eye of the magpie in me. So this holiday I have decided to paint my nails gold, which will go with everything from my Christmas jumper (theyre kinda cool now, so its okay) to my LBD for New Years Eve (see ELLE's pick of the best party dresses here).
My top three picks are Nail Girls in Gold 2, £10, it gives a great opaque, soft gold hue in just two coats; if you're feeling daring layer with a coat (or two) of OPI's Bring on the Bling, £9.95, from its Burlesque collection, which gives nails an impressive and, most importantly a dense glitter effect. Now this isn't new but if you want to be 100% authentic and maybe a little less glitzy, use Rococo's Gold Leaf Lacquer, £22.50, which imparts pretty flecks of real gold to your nails.
