The Everlasting Manicure

This week I am road-testing the new Everlasting Manicure at Urban Retreat up in the heights of Harrods. The 45 minute manicure uses Gelez, a brush-on gel that gives a chip free colour that lasts up to 3 weeks. Where it differs from a hard gel is that it doesn’t strengthen the nail but it does provide incredibly durable colour. What sold it for me is just two minutes under a UV lamp is all that’s needed to set the colour - there’s no waiting for it to dry whilst I clumsily fumble around in my handbag to find my keys, the result of which normally is scuffed nails. Four days on and my colour (a soft and expensive looking nude) still looks perfect, there’s not a chip in sight and the high shine finish is just as glossy as it was when I bid the nail technician goodbye. Removal takes only 10 minutes and my nails underneath won’t be weakened by the gel. 10 out of 10!
