I just spoke to George Northwood, Alexa's hairdresser, who told us exactly how to get the hairstyle that she wore to the British Fashion Awards.
'I styled Alexa's hair for the event. The cut Alexa has needs to be worn messy; I rough dried her hair and then really loosely tonged it. I then used Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom, £17.50, to give it that messy texture.
'The haircut is a very simple one length bob, I cut it like I would a child's hair and the fringe is simply grown-out and worn parted to both sides'.
As for the colour George recommends you book in with Alexa's colourist Amy Fish who works at the Hersheson's salon in Harvey Nichols. 'Alexa has Balayage, but at Hersheson's we call it Uplighting, this focuses the colour onto the ends and gives it that smudgy effect'.
