Everything about Anthropologie's new fragrance is just charming. The sister store of Urban Outfitters enlisted perfumer Marypierre Julien (creator of Gap Close and Rihanna’s 2011 perfume launch (!) Rihanna: Reb’l Fleur) to create the first Happ & Stahn fragrance for the shop - the name was inspired by the word 'happenstance'. 1842 Rosa Alba is an old fashioned blend of rose, Darjeeling tea, lily and wisteria with a dry down of musk and amber. While my nose is happy, my eyes are even happier. The bottle is reminiscent of an era when women learnt to sew. The pin cushion lid, complete with decorative pins, may not have much function these days but when it looks so divine on your dressing table who cares?
