Weekdays on this diet are easy because I'm simply going to work and coming home again; then the weekend hits and I have to go out and socialise. So, to take some of the temptation out of the diet and a lot of the effort, this weekend I trialled Soulmatefood.

They deliver meals based upon Dr Murad's principles with a planner so you know what to eat when, and what each meal offers nutritionally (antioxidants, protein, healthy fats, for example). The menu is really varied and tasty: lemon and poppy seed muffin for breakfast, mango coleslaw with mackerel for lunch and lamb with butter beans and vegetables for dinner; you also get two snacks per day, so you won't go hungry. I did of course supplement the diet with a few (or more) drinks, but at least I didn't fall off the wagon entirely (the weekend before involved an all-you-can eat buffet).

It's not cheap, but if you have it delivered at weekends only, it will keep down the cost and could prevent you from giving up.
