I think what I love most about this diet is that its not extreme. There’s no limiting yourself to protein, there’s no weighing and measuring and there’s no curfews – it’s actually more about retraining yourself to eat properly and a nutritional plan that you can follow long-term. The biggest change for me is making time to eat breakfast. I have never in my life regularly eaten breakfast, except perhaps on holiday, instead preferring a cup of coffee on my way in to work. It’s not down to laziness, it’s more that I’m simply not hungry first thing in the morning. Now breakfasts consist of egg (poached or scrambled) and some smoked salmon and avocado. It’s taken some getting used to but already I feel more alert in the morning for having something to eat.
