Proenza Schouler is always my favourite show of the season and seeing as it's always the last one I catch before I fly home, for me it's a fitting tribute to the city of cool. Make-up was as ever fresh, understated and cool with Diane Kendal subtly sculpting faces with biscuity powders. Brows were darkened just a little and bones highlighted for a touch of luminosity.

Over on hair Paul Hanlon was instructing his team how to achieve what he called 'haunted, strange, irregular' hair. Translated this meant a dry, almost matted texture to hair that fell sloppily down models' necks. With a roll call of big name models and a collection that looked every bit as desirable and perfectly judged as ever, it was the perfect ending to a great fashion week.
