Yesterday I met with Jade Jagger who has been entrusted with the exciting job of re-designing Guerlain’s iconic Shalimar fragrance to mark its 85th birthday. Staying loyal to the original bottle shape but using her skills as an interior and jewellery designer it was always going to be exciting challenge. ‘The original bottle was my ultimate inspiration – it’s inspired by a beautiful fountain in the garden of Shalimar in Northern India and has a lovely story behind it. And then tonight Guerlain are hosting a presentation at Harrods as part of The Perfume Diaries, an exhibition on the history of fragrance taking place in Harrods.  Renowned perfumers Jean-Paul Guerlain and Thierry Wasser will be sharing their wealth of fragrance knowledge and seeing as we’re all huge fragrance fans (and dare we say, aficionados) we’re very excited. I’ll be front row with my pen poised...
