Rodial has launched treatments exclusively into Glow Urban Spa, London. I’m a fan of the products so I was keen to see if the spa experience stood up to my expectations.

Best for: reducing cellulite and bloating for a more contoured figure

What it involved: After full exfoliation, a detoxifying clay mask was applied from my knees up to my décolletage. The green clay mask contains negative ions which are able to attract toxins, which are positively charged. The clay draws out impurities so the body can work to flush them away. Over the mask, compression bandages are applied to contour the body and to help the mask penetrate the skin effectively. While the product got to work my therapist, Cheryl, gave me a shoulder, neck and head massage lolling me into a state of relaxation. Once the bandages were removed, my thighs were pumelled to tackle the cellulite. It wasn’t the most pleasant sensation but it felt more effective than your run of the mill deep tissue massage. Finally, I had a colon massage with Rodial’s Tummy Tuck to bring down any bloating and Boob Job was applied to my breasts and décolletage to firm things up.

The result: I came out of the salon walking on air and noticed that my whole body felt slimmer and looked sleeker in the mirror. The balance of efficacy and indulgence was just right. You’ll need to book in for a course if you want to see long-lasting results, but one treatment is ideal pre-holiday or before a big night out.

Also, worthy of note if you buy a Rodial Brazilian Tan, £39 this month from House of Fraser you’ll receive either Skinny Beach, worth £39, or Skinny Beach Sticks, worth £48, for free. Eva Mendes is a fan and we think the Daily Tan is perfect for adding a hint of colour to pale winter complexions.
