Last week I went on the press trip of all press trips, a backstage tour of QVC. I should probably stand up and admit it now, ‘I’m Amy Lawrenson and I’m addicted to QVC’. Well, to tell the truth not each and every show, just the beauty slots. They have such great brands on there, from the natural gorgeous skincare from Liz Earle to Jemma Kidd’s ingenious make-up creations. Most will showcase prices and offers not available anywhere else which is the icing on the cake.  The tour took me to the studio (sitting in on a live show) and onto the production room, where the Producer can direct the presenter to move onto a new item if that one isn’t selling, or stick with one that’s flying out of the warehouse.

After the excitement of seeing a live feed to the purchases being made by beauty junkies nationwide, we got down to business. I met with Fiona Brackenbury, Decleor’s Head of Training and Development who has created the new cleanser: Hydra-Radiance Smoothing Cleansing Mousse exclusively for QVC.  Fiona masterminded this cleanser because she felt so much significance today is placed on serums and creams and not enough on cleansing.  “Get your cleansing routine right and you’ll give your skin the best possible foundation…and get much better results from your moisturiser as well” she says.

This balm has been formulated to cleanse; polish using skin sloughing grapefruit and papaya and moisturise thanks to Neroli essential oil and Hyaluronic Acid (an ingredient that can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in moisture to plump out the skin).

I’ve been using it since and my previously dull skin has started to look much more radiant and healthy. Buy it now just in time to prevent your skin from going crazy with the change of season that’s on its way.
