Jo Malone has a new Master Perfumer. Christine Nagel has taken on the roll of capturing Jo's innate ability to put a few ingredients together to create simple, yet surprising colognes which are also very English. Not an easy task. But Christine has a very impressive CV; she created Miss Dior Cherie, Dolce & Gabbana The One and Lancome Hypnose Senses in recent years.
One of her first fragrances for Jo Malone is English Pear & Freesia, which is out next month and is possibly the most beautiful thing we have had the pleasure of smelling in a long time. It's floral and fruity thanks to the fressia and pear (which was cleverly masterminded by Christine as pear doesn't have a natural fragrance) and sexy because of the musk and patchouli. Roll on autumn.
