I've just come back from a host of press days, fondly known in the industry as 'Christmas in July'. Coty showcased its festive fragrances in the penthouse suite at the Dorchester Hotel (ornate, lots of mirrors, fab views of Hyde park). Everything from Chloe to Marc Jacobs offerings were on show, but most exciting for me was Vivienne Westwood's new perfume entitled 'Naughty Alice' which I have loaned to our Fashion Assistant Alice to test.
Why my favourite? Well, while the scent is pretty, it was the Alice in Wonderland inspired garden on the terrace that made me smile. Brightly coloured butterflies, flowers, robins (well it is Christmas) and large gold bracelets with turquoise pendants complete with Viv's logo adorned the trees. It's too big for my wrist so it's a good thing a smaller human-size version adorns the bottle.
