The claim: "This high-performance foundation with SPF 15 provides medium, buildable coverage while simultaneously helping to firm, lift and restore a look of youthful radiance”.

Pros: There have been quite a few foundation launches in the last month but this is my favourite by far. I’m always happy to try a new foundation thanks to my quest for the perfect complexion real or fake, but I was unsure this would be right for me - it's anti-ageing and I'm 25. But then I have heard that our skin stops producing collagen at this age, so maybe it should be a concern for me now...

Whether I need to wage war on wrinkles or not, this foundation was a pleasant surprise. It went on easily and blended well. My skin looked instantly dewy, brighter and my complexion was more even. The herb rhodiola is the key ingredient as it helps to combat wrinkles; sweet almond seed extract firms and lifts, while vitamin C and soy peptides encourage the skin’s natural collagen production (yes!). Although I usually have combination skin, it has been drying out more often recently and after 3 weeks of using this foundation, I need far less moisturiser to stop my skin feeling parched.

The coverage was medium, which is good as many anti-ageing foundations can be too heavy. But this can be built up to cover redness and blemishes so I could do without with my concealer – time and money saving too. The SPF 15 also left me feeling reassured that I was protected from the elements.

Cons: I can’t fault this product on its formulation but someone needs to speak with the packaging designers. The wide neck meant a lot of product comes out of this little bottle, so approach with care. I understand a bottle like this is ideal for applying foundation with a brush and ensuring you can reach the last dregs, but a screw-on pump would have been a much better idea (hint, hint).

Verdict: A brilliant foundation that, surprisingly, suits all age groups; just don’t try to apply it on-the-go.
