Yesterday I spent a lovely afternoon with Ole Henriksen. His spa in LA boasts a client list that reads like a whos who in Hollywood. Plus as ELLE fans you will know that we love his product range and often feature his natural and effective lotions and potions.
But the best thing? Hes great for a gossip!
He is in London to tell us about his two new products, extensions of his Truth Serum (which Ole describes as his little baby, his desert island product). Truth Revealed Super Cream SPF 15 is a daily does it all moisturiser, which when I tested on my arm, instantly tightened the skin and has a wonderful orange scent, and Truth Is In The Eyes, which is a whole new concept in eye care. It is a daily peel containing natural AHAs. Apply every night under your eye cream and he promises, the ingredients will boost circulation in the area to prevent bags and also stimulate collagen to lessen the appearance of fine lines. They will be launched next month...we can't wait!
But lets get to the nitty-gritty. Whats happening in LA? Well, according to Ole the Barbie Doll look shows no sign of waning. They just look odd. Its so refreshing to come to Europe and see all you fabulous naturally beautiful women, he says. Oh Ole, you are making us blush. But who is looking good at the moment? My long term client Charlize Theron is just stunning. She is very grounded and family orientated, shunning the Hollywood scene and this reflects in her attitude to her beauty. Also Katy Perry, who comes in regularly for body treatments, especially when she is performing, is brilliant and beautiful. Plus shes started to bring her boyfriend Russell Brand in for a pampering session.
As for our chat on who's NOT looking so good...I think I'd better keep that one under my hat!
