Have you got sensitive skin?

A few weeks ago I experience a hardcore facial – all in the name of research. It involved various peels, masks, serums and creams and it has sent my skin into a tiz. From the minute I left the spa my skin tingled and two weeks on it still feels over sensitive and a bit, well, beaten up. Damage remedy is needed.

I called upon one of my favourite brands, Decleor, to show my skin some love. A treatment with them is like dipping into a bubble-filled candle lit bath. All your skincare woes just melt away.

So off I trotted to Spa Illuminata, a pampering haven in the heart of London’s Mayfair. My amazing therapist, Claudia, said my skin was very sensitive and also dehydrated because of the changes in season. She recommends I use the Aromessence Rose D’Orient. It blends rose with neroli, chamomile and petigrain essential oils, followed by the Harmonie Gentle Soothing cream, containing orange blossom to calm red skin and blackcurrant seed oil to protect against the weather changes. One word – heavenly. My skin instantly feels calmer, the tone is more even and there is no more tingling sensation or itchiness.
