What’s going on with the weather at the moment? The days start off sunny and bright but quickly venture into rainy, windy and, for some, snowy territory. And with the prospect of an unpredictable Easter weekend, I’m feeling in the mood for some colour.

So this morning I headed into the beauty cupboard for some mood-boosting make-up. And what colourful delights I discovered – vivid primaries, punchy pinks, bright oranges, and apple greens, not to mention a Bella Pierre eye shadow stack of every colour in the rainbow.

The key to colour is to emphasise one area and keep the rest bare – a simple pop of colour on the lips screams SS10, whilst you can’t go wrong with a bright flash on your nails. Restraining the urge to apply it all at once, I’ve opted for a fuschia pink lip stain from W7, and it’s just the ticket.

Whether it's sunny where you are or snowing, what better way to brighten up your day than with this selection of colourful delights…
