Bridesmaid make-up masterclass

On Saturday my big sister got married and I was lucky enough to be one of the bridesmaids. Although I left it to the experts to give me a spray tan and style my hair, I opted to do my make-up myself. And after much deliberation, I settled for soft corals, nudes and tans to give me an on-trend peachy glow…

As my chin has a constant supply of spots Clinique’s Anti-Blemish Solutions Liquid Make-up, £20, (out 1st April) gave me great coverage whilst calming and preventing future breakouts. I then applied my faithful old Touche Eclat, £24, by YSL to even out imperfections.

To warm up my complexion I lightly dabbed Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in Cabo Coral, £16.50, by Bobbi Brown onto the apples of my cheeks, while Benefit’s Moon Beam, £17.50, provided some golden-hued highlights to the contours of my face.

As my eye make-up needed to survive a good 12 hours, I started by creating a base with Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Malted, £16, then layered on Pigment in Tan, £15, a loose powder pigment in an intense metallic bronze. For depth and definition I blended Colour Surge Eye Shadow in Sable, £13.50, by Clinique into and along my brow socket. I finished the look with a set of false lashes - The Collection Strip Lashes in Sophisticate, £7.35, by Eylure added the perfect swish and flutter to my eyes.

I kept the lips nude with Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Reflect in 127 Beige Velvet, £18, which offered a soft and subtle sheen to the final look.

I’m rather pleased with myself! What do you think?
