The Claim: "A customised massage experience to relieve tension and mental stress. General fatigue is eliminated by pure essences blended to meet your physical and mental condition and massage techniques to suit your needs".

Pros: If it’s a good old fashioned deep tissue massage you want, I think I have found you a winner. It’s definitely my favourite so far. Thorough and tailored exactly to meet your needs (I wanted the focus on my tension ridden back and legs) this massage has you feeling completely rejuvenated in just one hour. You'll leave the spa feeling like you're walking on air. If you opt for deep pressure to be applied during the massage you can expect not only for all your knots and tension to be gone, but also, if you suffer from cellulite, you should notice a more streamlined look to your thighs. After all massage is the best way to banish the dreaded orange peel.

Cons: As far as the treatment goes you’re unlikely to find fault, I couldn’t. My therapist Wafa Foster's massage technique was amazing, but she's based in London at the Puro Lifestyle Salon and Spa, not ideal if you live far afield. On the plus side Aveda treatments are available nationwide and all therapists receive the same training.

Verdict: Just as Aveda claim, this really is a great treatment for relieving tension, stress and fatigue.
