Today has been a great day for discovering new products. First up a new product from MAC which I fear may become a new obsession of mine - when make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury pulled it out at Donna Karan I could feel my fingers twitching with excitement. The product in question is a new Mixing Medium Shine, a small pot of glossy wax which gives skin that dewy sheeny look that last season I was, well, waxing lyrical about (see SS10 and for inspiration). At Donna Karan I watched as she tapped it on to models' cheekbones and eyelids until skin looked luminous.
Next up is TIGI's Root Boost, a spray mousse which I watched being used by hair stylist Bob Racine at Jil Stuart to achieve a Kate Moss the-morning-after-the-night-before look. 'It makes hair look lived in with a slightly dry, matte texture that's so sexy'. If you want to copy this tousled look take a tip from Bob and spray directly on to your hair in sections and dry in to set the product then massage your hair with your fingers to break it up a little.
