New beauty brand launches in UK – and Marion Cotillard’s already a fan

Not heard of Melvita yet? You soon will. The family-run company is the largest certified organic (ECOCERT) beauty brand in France is on its way to the UK.

There are a lot of products in the Melvita line-up, over 300 in fact. The range includes everything from skincare and bathing products, to supplements and even honey. (The founder, biologist Bernard Chevilliat, is also a professional beekeeper, FYI.)

If you need more convincing that the products are worth a try, French actress and eco warrior Marion Cotillard has been raving to the French press about Melvita. She isn't a face of the brand, she just loves the products. Her favourites include the Hydrastim Moisturising Gel, £20, and the Scented Dry Oil for hair, face and body, £19, because both suit her dry skin. French model Lou Doillon is also known to be a fan.

I’ve tried the products and am impressed by the Eye Contour Gel, £18, (you can actually feel it tightening the skin), the Mousse Facial Scrub, £15, which cleanses and exfoliates in one, and the Hydrastim Moisturising gel, £20, which is lovely and light, yet plumps the skin thanks to the hyaluronic acid – use it on its own in the summer or as a booster under cream now.

The products will be available to buy online from 29 January, but you can start browsing online now - click here.
