Finally, a lip! And a smoky eye! And a GOLDEN forehead! Excuse the overuse of exclamations but after two days of zero colour and barely-there nude make-up you can imagine our excitement when three back-to-back shows all delivered very striking looks.
First up, Roberto Cavalli where Diane Kendal for MAC created an elongated smoky eye to complement the ‘fire and water’ collection. To define the shape, Diane used MAC Chromographic Eye Pencil in Coffee and then layered over MAC Eye Pencil in Black Black and smudged it all in.

Over on hair Guido for Redken let the girls’ hair dry naturally before adding Redken Shine Flash 02 and wrapping into a messy, dishevelled wet-look bun.
Tom Pecheux didn’t want to leave Milan without going all out and this was the perfect show to really experiment. Taking inspiration from dark fairy tales such as Little Red Riding Hood, Tom created what he called ‘kiss of death lips’ using Mac Lipstick in Sin and added a platinum shimmer horizontally down the eyes to mimic reflection from the moon. We love.
In-keeping with the story, Eugene Souleiman for Wella Professionals created Edwardian-style rolls to look like wolf ears.
The most wearable and prettiest style of the day has to go to Pucci’s low-slung plait courtesy of Luigi Murenu; so simple, so gorgeous and top of our list to recreate.
Yadim created a troop of 10 golden warriors by painting MAC Pro Liquid Gold pigment on their foreheads mirroring the gilded gold collection. The rest of the girls were given a natural look with very light contouring and just a slick of black eyeliner in the waterline to define.
