When Kate and William set off on their North American tour at the end of this month they won't be taking a huge entourage. Instead, on her first official overseas trip as the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate has simply requested the attendance of her hair stylist James Pryce to join her in America from the 30 June - 10 July.
While Kate will be wearing a wardrobe of British designed dresses, she has decided she is more than capable of dressing herself. And as for the make-up, we know how determined she is to do it herself; having created the make-up look for her wedding day she's not about to start asking for assistance now. But Kate, like most women, knows that to get her hair looking as glossy and perfectly preened as has come to be expected of her, she needs her trusted hair stylist James on standby. Kate's hair has spawned a host of copycats, with everyone wanting that 'Chelsea blow-dry' and those enviably healthy looking lengths.
The seven-strong entourage will apparently include an aide, two private secretaries, two press-secretaries and a secretary - who knew one needed so many secretaries?
