Kate transforms herself for the big day

To a beauty fanatic, Catherine (as she is now to be addressed) looked very different as she attended the opening of a school in Darwen, Lancashire. The glossy, tumbling waves were pinned up into a half-up-do, perfect for a princess. Team ELLE is placing our bets that this won’t be the hairstyle she’ll walk down the aisle with, one - because we’ve all seen it now and two – it’s not the neatest hairstyle (Catherine was flicking pieces out of her face all day), so it looks like a full up-do is on the cards. But it wasn’t just her hair that had changed. Kate’s make-up appeared heavier: a smoky eye and definite contouring gave her slim face a more chiselled, grown-up look (less girl-next-door, more future Queen). Plus, her teeth also looked brighter and whiter.

And it’s not just her beauty look that’s been tweaked – she looked more slender and toned than ever. It may be the nerves, but we’re betting she has a personal trainer putting her through her pre-wedding paces. All the details are being kept under wraps by the palace, but one thing’s for sure if this last official engagement (or as we like to think of it, beauty dress rehearsal) is anything to go by, she’ll make a stunning bride.
