Today, Lady Gaga posted a twitpic of herself with an almost exact copy of the hairstyle James Pecis created for the Meadham Kirchhoff show last week. She tweeted to say, 'Dyed my bangs black. Its my new monsterlook. Let the mitosis of the future begin. Off to meet Judas.'
Backstage at the show, James explained to us that the theme of the look had a 'dark religious undertone with a grungey element'. The hair was meant to look grown-out, which explains the super dark roots and blonde, washed-out, ends. James and his team created hair pieces for each model to wear on the catwalk; they used wigs so the team could load the hair up with as much colour and product as they needed to create a grungey texture. The hairstyle worked to complete the look and feel of the show (you can watch our video of the Meadham Kirchhoff show here). But, trust Gaga to just go for it and dye her own hair - she may not have been born this way, but we actually think the look quite suits her.More
