The Oscars Nailed

Helena Bonham Carter may have chosen unusual accessories for her jaunt to The Oscars- a fan shaped clutch and a Union Jack garter- but her nails were painted a classic red. Anne Hathaway, the host for the ceremony, also chose a red polish - Kiss from a Rose by Deborah Lippmann, for the evening, which incidentally matched her red Valentino dress, as well as her crimson lippie and of course, the red carpet.

Nude nails were the winning choice for the night (the perfect go-with-anything shade, ideal if a star’s dress choice comes down to the wire). Mila Kunis, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Halle Berry, Michelle Williams and Penelope Cruz all chose a chic nude that was almost white (snap up Chanel’s Nail Varnish in Pearl Drop to get the look). Amy Adams and Natalie Portman went for a flattering peach nude – we love Revlon Scents Nail Enamel in Peach Smoothie for this look (it smells good too).
