Liz Earle launches haircare!

She has created a concise range that contains one shampoo for all hair types and three conditioners, one for oily hair, one for normal locks and one for anyone whose hair is dry or damaged. She’s bought her skincare approach to the haircare line, so there is just one shampoo to suit all hair types, just like Cleanse & Polish is ideal for every skintype. The shampoo is also kind to the skin, as well as the hair – ‘The scalp is an extension of the face,’ Liz reminds us.

Looking at her glossy, healthy looking mane is all the proof we need that this launch is worth putting in your diary. Liz and her business partner, Kim Buckland, have been working on these products for six years and have finally reached their perfect formula.

The products contains no nasties like SLS - the foaming agent in a a lot of shampoos, which Liz told us is not only high on the irritant list and a no-no for anyone prone to eczema like her but it can fade coloured hair. Instead they contain a breakthrough agent, SLMI, which unlike its similar sounding predecessor is derived from coconuts, kind to skin and lathers up well - which is unusual for a natural ingredient.

Botanical Shine Shampoo, £7.50 and Conditioners, £7.50 will be available from September 2010.
