Dianne Brill is the ideal candidate to launch a make-up range. Always glamourously made-up Dianne was once a muse for Thierry Mugler and a favoured model of Jean Paul Gautier and Vivienne Westwood, before she turned her hand to designing and styling for the likes of Duran Duran, The Rolling Stones and Prince - so she knows a thing or two about turning out a look.
Pretty as a picture, all her products can sit proudly on any dresser. The foundations come wrapped in doilies, the false lashes stack in a miniature hat box, while the lipglosses look like cupcakes. However, what we like about this brand most, is that while it all looks beautiful, the products really pack a punch. Dianne is a self-proclaimed 'chemist groupie' which explains why all the products have up-to-the-minute formulations. The Freshwater Pearl Foundation £30, is packed with pearls which plump the skin and feed it with amino acids and calcium, giving a dewy glow. The Vitamin Treatment Lipglosses, £15, have a super-high vitamin content which we can guarantee will leave even the most chapped lips fuller, smoother and more glossy. While the Still and Fill range contains simulated snake venom (it works like the real thing, but isn't) which calms stressed out complexions, plus apple to plump and hydrate the skin. The products are ideal for this time of year when skin goes haywire due to central heating and minus temperatures outdoors. Try the anytime Instant Re-Moisture Snack Spray £22, and the Ice Pack £29, a de-puffer stick which always feels cool and can be used under or over make-up to instantly brighten the eye area.
The range is available now in Harvey Nichols, 0207 235 5000.
