Serge Lutens may not be a name you instantly recognise but you have probably seen his work or smelt it. He started his career as a photographer for top fashion magazines in Paris, but turned his hand to make-up in the sixties, producing a make-up line for Christian Dior in 1967.
In 1980 he was appointed Creative and Art Director of Shisedo and started to create his world famous fragrances. He masterminded some of Shisedos most iconic scents including the Nombre Noir in 1982, before opening his own perfumery Les Salons du Palais Royal. Its no surprise then that his latest foray in to beauty, his new collection to the UK, Serge Luten Neccessaire de Beaute, has been created with Shiseido.
And the products match Lutens beauty credentials. Reassuringly expensive, in chic black lacquered packaging, all the products bare the hall mark of great design and a make up professionals expertise.
