Exclusive: Elleuk.com talks to SJP about her new scent
Today Sarah Jessica Parker launches her second scent, 'Covet' a perfume which she tells Elleuk.com, "will be sought after by women because it is so beautiful and desirable. They just have to have it, and will stop at nothing to get it!" (We think the top notes of chocolate might help too!) The bottle is also spectacular and we defy anyone not to want to put it on their dressing table. SJP, who had a hand in every step of the design process for this perfume, from smell to packaging says that she designed the bottle, "to look like a bouquet of exquisite jewels." and it does.
The actress, who has just announced that along with the rest of the girls, she will start filming Sex and the City the movie asap, also stars in the ad campaign for Covet, shot by Jean-Paul Goude at the Place Vendome in Paris. The idea behind the shoot was, explains Parker, "to tell the story of a woman who will stop at nothing to get what she wants...to get Covet ." and sees SJP smashing windows and finally ending up behind bars to get to her perfume. Of course this is all in a couture gown, naturally, as SJP hand picked a Christian Lacroix number, chosen from his couture archive for the scenes. (That's some glamorous prison gear!)
"I want this scent to seduce you" SJP tells us. From today it might just do that!
