We couldn’t help noticing how much Jessica’s hair looks like a certain Alexa Chung’s. So we got George Northwood (Alexa’s hairdresser) on speed dial to share his styling know-how…“To get Jessica’s hairstyle you need a long choppy bob, with some shape cut round the face, maybe a grown out fringe. First, apply some Kerastase Oleo Curl Crème, £17.45 through damp hair and diffuse dry (if your hair is poker straight then instead of diffusing, blast with a normal hairdryer). Next take the front sections of the hair and blow dry forward to create a sweeping fringe at the desired parting. Next, taking Daniel Hersheson Waving Tongs, tong random sections ensuring to leave the roots and the ends out. You can usually get away with only doing the top sections which tend to frizz more, especially if you have wavy hair and diffuse dried it. To finish apply some Shu Uemura Hairspray, £16.50.”

Neil Moodie, is a regular backstage at the International Collections and has styled everyone from Scarlett Johansson to Drew Barrymore. Dree created this look herself, so we called on Neil for some expert know-how…“First you need to spritz towel-dried hair with BB Tonic Spray, £14, then layer with Thickening Hairspray, £20 and Styling Lotion, £17.50. Dry your hair with a diffuser to get a natural texture; when completely dry, lightly brush the hair through with a flat bristle brush and then take a large curling iron and tong any pieces of hair that look unfinished or a little fuzzy. Do not curl all the hair as you will lose the natural feel to it.Once curled, take the sides of your hair and loosely twist back into the nape of the neck. Do not pull hair too tight and if any pieces fall away while twisting this is fine. Tie hair into a loose ponytail either using elastic or a hair clip. Finish with a light spritz of hairspray.”For wavy hair tips,

Rihanna’s red hair makes quite a statement. When ELLE spoke to her make-up artist Karin Darnell to ask why she chose to go bold, Karin explained “She has been dying to go red for ages. It’s a fun change for the summer, she’s young so she likes to experiment with new looks”. But it’s Ursula Stephen, Ri-Ri’s hair stylist who explains whether this look will suit you and how to get it…“Everyone’s face shape and skin is different. What may look good on one person may not look good on another. So I suggest you have a consultation with a colourist to figure out which red works for you. Black women can do this look, however I wouldn’t recommend this hue for a darker skinned woman, I would go for streaks instead. On Rihanna I used a bright, bold shade that I call Matador Red. To get the true colour I used a double process. I lightened the hair then added a semi-permanent colour.
