When team beauty first saw Lady Gagas Applause single cover, shot by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, we thought it was cool since her face is painted in a theatrical clown-esque way. Great for a photo not for real life, were our thoughts.
Oh how wrong we were.
Gaga stepped out this week in Los Angeles having recreated the cover look for real life. The singer was heading to a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, who apparently also liked the make-up so much he wanted to get in on the action. Seacrest tweeted a picture of himself made up with splashes of blue, orange and red facepaint alongside Gaga with the caption, One of us was born this way, one of us needed to be touched up.
In fact, Gaga is encouraging her monsters to tweet #APPLAUSECoverSelfies - she even tweeted her own version with the caption 'I'VE BEEN WANTING TO DO THIS FOR 2 WEEKS! HERE'S MY APPLAUSE COVER SELFIE -->I USED MY BED SHEET #APPLAUSECoverSelfie'
Will you be giving the look a try or leaving it to Gaga and her monsters? Tweet @ELLEBEAUTYTEAM your thoughts...More
