In the hair world, Josh Wood is the man of the moment. Last night, with much fanfare, Wood opened the doors to his Atelier in Liberty. Part of the department store was cleared for the party which played host to stars (and clients) including Sam Taylor-Johnson, Henry Holland, Jade Williams aka Sunday Girl, Kristen McMenamy and Laura Bailey.
The champagne was flowing, but so was the Radiance Cleanse Juices specially designed by founder Clare Neill. Josh Wood believes that hair health comes from the inside-out, Neill told ELLE. These juices have lots of ingredients to promote healthy hair and will be available in both Ateliers.
Entertainment came in the form of performers dressed as mannequins in blonde wigs (courtesy of Wella Illumina the colour Wood uses in his Atelier) who sang brilliantly camp tunes in front of the audience before red glitter rained down and Wood joined the mannequins on stage for a dance. The DJ decks were populated by designers Maarten van der Horst, Louise Gray and Cozette McCreery who provided pumping, dance-inducing tracks for the rest of the night.
Josh Woods Atelier is now open in Liberty London, it is his second Atelier the first can be found at 6 Landsdowne Mews, London.More
