For most women post-pregnancy it's difficult enough contending with a disrupted schedule, breast feeding and getting to know your newborn that weight loss is the last thing on your mind.
Not so for the A-list, all eyes are on them and the pressure is so great that many are back to a pre-baby dress size within weeks of the birth. Stars like Miranda Kerr, Abbey Clancy, Gisele, Jessica Alba, Victoria Beckham, we could go on, have made headlines with their impressive post-pregnancy weight loss. Most recently all eyes are on Beyonce, who shared with the audience at her concert on Saturday night that she has lost a whopping 60 pounds since having Blue Ivy.
"Y'all have no idea how hard I worked!" the 30-year-old exclaimed, "I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!" (We'd love to know who 'they' are).
Its not the first time Beyonce has revealed her post-baby fitness regime, we shared all the details of her interview with US People magazine back in April where she revealed she was working out three times a week for 90 minutes doing a combination of dancing, running and crunches, along with following a strict protein-based diet.
But we have to say we're sceptical, not that she doesn't look amazing, she does and we totally believe shes lost her baby weight but 60 pounds, really? Beyonce was looking so trim and toned all the way through her pregnancy - just think back to her Glastonbury performance when she was three months gone and all those fitted dresses she wore right up to the birth. She was obviously taking care of her figure right through. But if anything it's proof that the pressure is great from the powers-that-be for celebrities to ping back to a pre-baby weight. And its cheering for those new mums out there to see that even Beyonce has had to work hard getting her figure back looking to its best.
